Overseas Elementary Exchange Program

 5 to 9 years old

Greentree's Overseas Exchange Program offers a rare opportunity for children aged 5 to 9 to experience life in another country, not as tourists, but as learners fully embedded in a local classroom.

Over seven immersive days they will collaborate with Thai peers and discover how learning transcends borders.

Expect your child to return more independent, adaptable, and globally curious. Qualities that grow best when young minds step outside their comfort zone. Scroll down to see how our carefully curated blend of school immersion, parent workshops, and family adventures turns an ordinary school holiday into a lifelong memory for the whole family.

About Srinakarin Eco School – Your Host Campus

Founded in 1989, Srinakarin Eco School began as a childcare centre and has grown into a respected private institution recognised by the Thai Ministry of Education. Its motto, “We create activities to develop life,” drives a holistic Hand–Head–Heart philosophy that blends academic rigour, practical skills, and compassionate citizenship.

What Makes Srinakarin Eco School Special?

  • AMI Accredited Montessori Elementary (International Pathway) – authentic materials, mixed age classrooms, bilingual English Thai guides.

  • Eco School Design – organic gardens, outdoor “living labs,” and sustainability projects connect children to nature every day.

  • Deep & Transformative Learning – inquiry projects that cultivate critical thinking and real world problem solving.

  • Bilingual Excellence – teachers fluent in English; students practise global communication daily.

  • Modern Facilities – science labs, library, makerspace and a green 8 acre campus

What Happens in a Montessori Elementary (6 – 9) Classroom?

  • Cosmic Education – grand origin stories spark awe and connect history, geography, biology, and physics into one meaningful narrative.

  • Three Hour Uninterrupted Work Cycles – children choose tasks, concentrate deeply, and master concepts at their own pace.

  • Hands On Materials → Abstract Reasoning – concrete golden beads, fraction circles, and grammar symbols make BIG ideas visible before moving to paper.

  • Mixed Age Mentoring – 6 , 7 , 8 , and 9 year olds collaborate, coach, and learn leadership naturally.

  • Freedom Within Limits – self directed exploration builds executive function, responsibility, and intrinsic motivation.

A Glimpse Into the Overseas Exchange Program

During our previous program, we watched our children step into a new country and an unfamiliar school, then find their place with remarkable ease.

They worked alongside local classmates, formed new friendships, experienced Thai culture through daily school life, and gradually became part of a community that had been completely new to them just days before.

  • Finding Their Place - They settled into new routines, understood what was expected, and began participating with growing confidence.

  • Learning With All Their Senses - Thai language, music, dance, art, nature, and practical activities allowed culture to become something they could experience, not simply observe.

  • Forming Genuine Friendships - Their student buddies offered companionship, encouragement, and a warm sense of belonging throughout the week.

  • Discovering What They Could Do - Parents witnessed their children becoming more independent, adaptable, curious, and willing to take ownership of new experiences.
